duration doesn't change

I have a task that has started out with a duration say 200h. I assign 5 men
which would give me 40h/man. I enter the times worked in the time sheet.
view-task usage.

Now I go through the two weeks and at the end of the two weeks I realize the
work is only 90% done. So up to speed. I have entered in the times, now this
is times actually worked. So %work complete and the %complete show 100% but
the task is really only 90% complete but the amount of original work
scheduled is 100% complete. So I need the men to keep working. If I change
the %complete field to 90% then it changes the both the work and %pecent
complete to 90% but decreases the time fields in the task usage. But these
men worked a full day.

So in short, I guess, I need the duration to increase when I change the
percent complete field. Do I have to change that manually?

I am really confused.

Thanks

Andre

Hello Andre,

It sounds as if you need to increase the remaining work and add another
20 hours. If your workers have already completed 200 hours of work,
Project will assume that the task is complete. Add the remaining work
field to the table and change remaining work from zero to 20 hours.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
