Duration in months?

I have a project file sent to me from Project 2002, which
I also have. The Durations are (mostly) set in months. I
go to Tools..., Options..., Schedule..., and change the
selection for "Duration is entered in:" to anything and
the Summary tasks change, some of the tasks change, but
not all. Any suggestions?

Use the "Format Durations" macro to change all durations to a common unit of
measure.

The "Duration Is Entered In" essentially effects new additions to the
schedule only.

Months are an awfully long unit to track task durations in, BTW. The
general rule of thumb is the WBS should be broken dow to a level of detail
where individual tasks are done by individual resources and require between
8 and 80 hours of work. Single tasks lasting months usually include many,
many real component tasks that should be scheduled and tracked individually.
