By clicking fixed duration on a task, does that mean that no matter the resources alllocated to that task it will not affect its duration?secondly when you say disaster recovery, does this mean planning against disaster in the course of a project in ? if yes at what stage do you advice me to include it into my project plan and tasks layout and what s an ideal duration.I want to imagine that it shold

First question: yes.

Second question: Who is saying "Disaster Recovery"? In what context?
Are you copying an existing project plan? Are you talking about
contingency in the project plan, e.g. allowing schedule/cost budget for
unexpected/unplanned events? For this, you have to make your own
judgement.
