During Spell check the resume button pops up

A

Adam Raff

Good Day,

I have a useer that seems to have a problem with the spell check. We are
running Office 2007 with SP1.

What happens is that the user would click on spell check either in Word or
Outlook and the spell check would start and would show a problem but the
only button she could push is the resume button.

Has anybody seen anything like this

Thanks
Adam Raff

Hello Adam,

It seems you can only push the resume button when clicking on spell check.

Adam, spell check is automatically turn on and I did not understand the
resume button, could you please capture a screenshot and upload here?

Or you can directly send it to me at (e-mail address removed).

At this time, we may try to start Word in safe mode to test the issue.

Click Start, click Run, type "winword /a" (without quotation marks)

Please let me know the result in word safe mode.

Please keep me posted, once I get more information, I can perform further
research and get back to you ASAP.

Regards,

Daisy Cao, MCSE 2000

Hi Adam,

I carefully checked your screenshots and also test in my Outlook, it seems
the issue may occur by the following two settings:

In Outlook, click Tools > Options > spelling > spelling and AutoCorrection,
in proofing tab > when correcting spelling in Microsoft Office programs.

Please select checkbox:

Ignore words in UPPERCASE
Ignore words that contain numbers

Please back to Outlook and test the issue.

If the issue was not fully resolved, please capture a screenshot of
settings in Proofing tab, I will check the settings for you.

Best Regards,

Daisy Cao
