dwt and 100% editable region

I have a page attached to a DWT.
In the DWT, the cell which I have chosen as the editable region is
100%(600)x300.
However on the attached page, the editable region is only 600.
In other words, the editable region is being placed as a fixed width
inside the 100% stretch width cell.
How can I make the editable region 100%?
