Would someone be so kind as to offer an explanation of this phenomenon? I
developing a database (schema?) with a form that says I can't update the
recordset. When I changed the recordset type from dynaset to
dynaset-(inconsistent-update) then I am able update the form. Actually, what
is happening is that I'm using a combo box so that I can see an identifying
name rather than the autonumbered ID field to select the data I'm after. Is
that enough, does it make sense? Since it works the way I want it to I
wouldn't worry, but are there concerns that to be aware of? Just on the
general meaning of the words, inconsistent is not a good thing. Can I be
assured that update accept or fail will be obvious?
