Dynamic cell naming

I would like to know if there is a way to name a cell based upon its
contents, changing when its contents change.

For instance, i am composing a detailed list of about 20 server boxes
components and power consumption, and rather than having all the
information on one page i have multiple worksheets with the detailed
information marked by a code.

for instance, i have a dell PowerEdge 1850 which uses a CPU which has
a dell part # of XD360. I have a detailed breakdown of the CPU's
specifics on one worksheet, and simply the phrase "XD360" on the
other. I intend to have this as a reference guide to other people, so
it would be much easier if they could simply click within the cell and
be linked to the cpu specifics for that particular server, and since
i'm using Office 2004 and List Manager, they can sort each worksheet
as they see fit to help them find what they need to know easier. the
downside is that i cannot simply create a static "this cell is named
this" type link because if they change the ordering of the worksheet
it will link to the wrong information.

Anybody have any idea how to help me with this? I'm sure there is a
way to do it. Thanks in advance for any insight.

I don't think you want to change a name definition. Name the range
describing the server XD360 for example. Then put a hyperlink in the cell
containing this value. Then when you click on the cell it will take you to
the named range.
