dynamic link library

I installed Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 on my laptop a month ago. On
Tuesday, I attempted to open a Word document and the following message
appeared: "The ordinal 4117 could not be found in the dynamic link library
oart.dll". The title on the message box is WINWORD.EXE-Ordinal not found.
Immediately following that message is another stating that Windows can not
find "the file name". Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try
again.
Does anyone know what this means? I can not open any file that I have saved
in any program within Office Enterprise. I receive the same message over and
over again. I have tried to uninstall the Office program, however the
uninstall always fails.
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

What you haven't told us is can you open Word to a blank document? How are
you opening your documents? Are they all on your local HDD?
