Dynamic Reporting

There must be a better way….

My primary project is a few thousand lines long and I need specific managers
to be able to access the tasks that are pertinent to them without either
understanding my filters or sifting though the whole darn schedule. My
solution was to create a new MPP, then embed the master file as read only and
then create a custom (filtered) view so when the various project managers
open their file they see only what then need to see. What I end up with is a
dynamic read only report. Is there a cleaner solution to this?

I normaly have all schedules posted to a read only folder. I develop filters
with the managers name on it. Then all they have to do is click on the drop
down, look for their name and there it is. I also made various versions with
the name and a description of the filter
