Dynamic shape data

Is there any way to make shape data automatically update on an Excel database
or spreadsheet? For instance, if on a network diagram I move a shape from
one page to another, could I get that to make the location cell in Excel
update to the new page name just by changing the shape location in Visio?

Is the custom code option possible or rather available on Visio 2007?

v2007 pro allows for multiple shapes to be linked with the same record so
the source doesn't need to keep track of what page it is on

You can add an extra Shape Data row with the function =PageName()
This does not solve updating Excel with Visio 2007 Pro Link Data to Shapes,
but there are examples of updating via ADO in code in the Visio 2008 Conf .
