dynamic web template links broken

I have a dynamic web template. I have several pages that I have attached it
to. If I change the dwt the changes are not automatically propagated. I
have to open each page and select "update selected page"

In the report there is nothing in the dynamic web template column for any
page.

There is no option to "Update all pages" or "Update attached pages"

Updating DTW pages automatically is currently only supported in disc based webs or WSS sites (not server based sites running under
the FP SE)
Do the manually (as you have been) or publish to a local disc based web, update your DWT, and then publish back to the FP SE hosted
site

Thanks for your help. Even Microsoft FrontPage 2003 Inside Out does not
seem to mention this.

I have found that if I have all the attached pages open in FP and change the
template I do get asked if they should all be updated.

My project is small now so this is not totally inconvenient. I do wish the
report would show DWT attachments so that I could keep tract of DWT usage.

My current development environment is FP extended IIS on my machine. Should
I consider a disk-based development? Publishing will be to FP extended
server.

No you can (and probably should) stay in IIS (server based web) if you use any FP SE features you want to test locally,
- and if you update your DWT you can just publish back forth to a DBW
(DWT updates are not usually a frequent event)
- some users have also reported success in updating the DWT by just opening the IIS physical location (C:\Inetpub\wwwroot) as a DBW
to run the update only - but I would not recommend that

See View - Reports - Shared Content - DWT
