Dynamically pulling slides from multiple files

I would like to split up a PowerPoint presentations into subfiles;e.g., Slides 1-4, Slides 5-6, etc. Each file would be the responsability of a member of my team. When I need to show the presentation, my teamates would send me the files and then I would automatically suck them into a master file.

Is this possible? For example, could I store the master and the parts in a directory together, and then have the master automatically update when one of the subfiles is changed?

Eric,

So long as all the slides use the same template. I see know problem with
"Insert>Slides from file" to re-assemble everything
