Lost in Translation

Ok, a little background. In my job we track dozens of work orders for five
work centers. We are required to have a redily viewable list of all work
orders that are currently open. When I got into this office their sollution
had been to have one computer int he back of the room scrolling through the
list of jobs. When one would be updated, an employee would walk across the
office, exit the presentation, make the changes, start the slide show over
again, then return to their desk and enter the information into their
computer also. Seemed like a waste to me as all of the computers were
networked together so I designed a quick web page that would open a read only
copy of the slide show and automaticcaly refresh whenever changes were made.
It worked great. Now we could do all of the updating at our desks and the
slide show went on in the back ground with no problems. Well we recently
"upgraded" to office 2007 and now my web page doesn't work. It always wants
to open the origional file. I tried making one master show that would be
linked to a set of other slides, that way we can update one slide for each
work center and the master show would pick up the changes and display them on
our big job screen. Problem there is that the links don't work. I can make
all the changes int he world but the master slide only updates when we close
it and reopen it. Now to the question.

How do I link two presentations such that one can be left running all day
and will automatically update when the second show is altered? I really hope
this is possible.

Thanks.
