E-mail accounts and Send/receive options-Outlook 2007

Hi,
Was wondering about send/receive in Outlook 2007.
Specifically; I have an e-mail address from my university;that during the
summer months;goes inactive periodically due to server
maintenance;fixes,patches etc.
Is there a way to suspend the send/receive function for that
account;instead of deleting and rebuilding it?

Tools, Send/Receive, Send/Receive Settings, Define Send/Receive Groups,
Edit. Click on the account and deselect "include the selected account in
this group".
