e mail attachments

My word files, specifically a resume turn to garbage when
I attach them in an e mail. I don't have the same problem
with cover letters

This is usually due to over-active Anti Virus or incompatibilities with the
transmission somewhere. The best solution is to ZIP the resume and email it
as an attachment.
