E-mail auto-linking error

Maybe I'm not doing it right?

When I select "Manage e-mail auto-linking," select an address or two and a
folder and click on "Search and Link . . ." a dialogue opens; but when I
click "Start" I get a message "Unable to link your e-mails. Please try again
later."

Any suggestions?
