E-mail blocked from person on SAFE sender list

I have a friend whose e-mails I never receive and I have no idea why. I have
made sure she is not on my blocked senders list; I have added her to my safe
senders list; I've even added her to my safe recipients list. Yet, every
time, I never receive her e-mails. If I send her an e-mail, she receives it.
However, if she even replies to my e-mail, I still don't get it. This is
the only person with whom I have this problem.

Any helpful ideas on how to correct this problem would be greatly
appreciated. I'm using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. Thank you!

Do the items end up in the Junk E-mail folder? Might they be getting
filtered by your provider's server?

I am having the same problem sending/receiving. Everything is ending up in
my junk mail. My security settings are on low. How would I go about checking
with my provider.

If the message is making it to you, your provider isn't filtering it out.

That's not what the safe recipients list is for.
Yet, every time, I never receive her e-mails.

Outlook doesn't block that way. Those lists control the Junk E-mail folder,
which places messages in the Junk E-mail folder, unless you've configured
the Junk E-mail filter to delete messages it detects. If you're not
receiving the messages at all, then it's a server or routing issue, not an
Outlook one.

What kind of account are you using? If you use a web interface to examine
the server Inbox before allowing Outlook to access it, do you see the
message or not?

I never receive the e-mail at all and it never even goes to my Junk mail box.
I am not using any sort of web interface before it gets to Outlook...at
least, not to my knowledge.

How can I have a server or routing issue with just this one e-mail address
especially since she receives my e-mails?

We use a server here in the office. If I check the e-mail from the provider
first I can access it, as normal. When I use Outlook.... the e-mails are in
the junk e-mail. Some of my coworkers strictly rely on Outlook to receieve
their e-mails. Some do not check the provider first and the e-mails are
still in the junk e-mail. My boss just tried to send something to herself,
and the e-mail was was put into the junk e-mail file. She is not listed on
any of the lists in Junk e-mail. Her security is set to low.

That wasn't what Brian meant. If your ISP has a webmail function, then use
it to see if these messages are actually getting to your ISPs mail
server....

Ah, I understand. I have checked the my web-based e-mail account from AT&T
and her messages are never in there either.

Then they are disappearing between her machine and your ISPs mail server.
Not a lot you can do about it. You might like to ask tech support at AT&T
whether her ISP is blacklisted by AT&T...

I'd definitely check with your provider if there are server side spam
filtering setup.

I'm advising you to USE a web interface to check the mailbox to see if the
messages arrive before using Outlook.

There are numerous ways that server or routing issues can cause mail to go
astray. In fact, what's your proof that it's not the SENDER's problem? In
fact, considering it's just the one sender with the problem, I'm more
inclined to believe it's the sender's problem and not yours.

Are you saying that the messages are in the server's junk mail folder and
not Outlook's? Clearly, then, your ISP is filtering the messages. Outlook
has nothing to do with it.
