E mail Error messages

I can't send and email through my Outlook. I continually get pop-up messager
that shows ie. "completeing 1 of 216 tasks". With various error messages,
0x80042109, 0x80004005, 0x80048002, 0x8004210B. etc. I recieve mail okay.
Messages I try to send stay in my Drafts and Outbox.
