e-mail field in merge

Any help would be appreciated....I have set up a simple
mail merge with Access. I have a field for an e-mail
address; there is only one field in the mail merge
template and only one field in the query (f rom where
I'm extracting the data) but the e-mail address is
published twice. It seems very odd as all the other mail
merge fields publish just once.....I must be doing
something really stupid!

Are you seeing something like

[email protected]#http://[email protected]

in your merge results?

If so, I would guess that your e-mail address is stored in a hyperlink field
in Access, in which case you will either need to store it using an ordinary
text field, or change your query so that it extracts the text in the
hyperlink field before the # (you can do this by altering the SQL in your
Access query, but first let's establish what is going wrong).

If not, can you describe exactly what your merge field contains and exactly
what result you are seeing (e.g. do you literally see the e-mail address
repeated, or is there space between the two copies, etc.) Also, it would be
useful to know which version of Word/Access you are using.
