E-mail mail mege requirements

Hi,

I'm attempting to do an e-mail mail merge from Word 2002.
The Data source is an MSAccess 2002 database. Everything
seems to work fine except when I click the OK button on
the Merge to e-mail dialog, nothing happens. I don't get
any error messages or success notifications and no e-mail
are sent. I think it might me the fact that I'm using a
Netscape 4.7 email client, but I would assume that any
MAPI enabled client would work. Word seems to work fine
using the Netscape client for the regular SendTo on the
File menu.

Can anyone offer any suggustions on how to troubleshoot
this problem.

I am having a similar problem using Word 2000. When I
set up the merge to electronic mail and attempt to
complete the process, the email messages never appear to
be created. I even seached the hard drive looking for
them. The merge works fine, if I merge to a file, but I
can't figure out why it won't merge to an email.

Any help?

Hi John,

Even though you aren't using Outlook, I'd ask about this in
an Outlook group. They usually have a fairly good grasp of
email problems with MAPI, in general.

FWIW, when I see this problem using Outlook, it means the
email address isn't recognized as being valid...
