I am trying to use the email marketing service that comes with business
contact manager and Outlook 2007.
However in testing to several friends I have found that their companies anti
spam defences (for example one uses McAfee Grouphshield) block the e-mails
sent via this Microsoft service.
If I send the newsletter direct from Word using my own Access based list and
my POP email account the same people DO receive the newsletters. The subject
line and the email sender etc. are identical to the receiver no matter which
way it is sent (people without business class defences receive both and can
confirm this).
Ideally I want to use a service like the Microsoft one because it reports on
click throughs.
I have a feeling that the reason the same newsletter is OK sent via my usual
pop account but not via Microsoft because Microsoft are using a server based
outside the UK - I am UK based? Can anyone tell me if this is likely to be
the case or suggest why the Microsoft service is being classed as spam?
Thanks Lou
