e-mail: putting contacts in last name, first, first name order

All my Contacts are filed in "Last name, First name"
order. However, when I send e-mail from within Outlook,
and click on the "To:" button (to open up my Contacts
list), all of the people in my Contacts list are
filed "First Name, Last Name". I am unable to correct
this problem. I run Windows XP.

I previously was running Windows 2000 Professional, and
this was not a problem with that OS. Can I correct this
problem in XP, or do I just have to "live with it?"
