e mail sent to wrong address does not return as undelivered, why?

If i have sent an e mail to the wrong address it has not been returned to me
as undelivered. Why not?
Do I need to set up something? Any advice gratefully received

the domain's mail server may not return NDRs because of the amount of spam
they get (which causes a lot of failed NDRs) or your server or antispam
software is catching the NDR.
