e-mail won't send

J

John Gregory

In Outlook 2003, when I complete an outgoing message, forward, or response,
and then go to the out box to edit it, it will not send. (sometimes I think
of something to add to the message)

When I edit the message, I send it again normally, it goes back into the
outbox, but when I do the Send / Receive, it just sits there and will not go.

I can send other messages that have not been edited the second time, but not
the ones I have edited. All other times the e-mail works normally.

This is a recent issue, that never happened before.

Any ideas as to what may be going on?

When a message is queued for sending, it will show in the outbox message
list as italized text. If normal text, open the item and then click send
button.

Other than that, watch for 3rd party applications that integrate with
Outlook that could caused the item to be dequeued. For example, ICQ instant
messenger was famous for causing what you describe.
