E-Mailing a ON page

I create a page in my ON. I Email it to anther ON user. When it arrives,
the other user is instructed to double click the enclosed .one file.

Then what? Where does this page end up in the user's ON structure? Or must
he SaveAs in some way to anchor it where he wants it?

I think it is considered a temporarily opened section. When they open it,
is there a new button just below the Unfiled Notes button that is
highlighted? It would have a picture of two tabs and a clock. If you
hover your mouse over it, it should say "Sections opened during this
session." These are just temporary. When you restart OneNote these are
not reopened like the other normal sections are.

I think you can just drag and drop that section's tab to a new location
within your regular notebooks. I'm not positive. I don't have a separate
..ONE file to test with and I don't fell like making one up. Just try it
yourself. If it doesn't work then you can just save it from your e-mail
program and put it where you want in your OneNote notebook folder
structure. OneNote will automatically find it and add it to the tabs in
the tab bar.
