E-mailing newsletter Problem

I have Word 2003 in Windows XP. Downloaded a newsletter template from
Microsoft. Created my newsletter and e-mailed it to myself from within Word.
When I view the e-mail the formatting is messed up. I can't figure out what
it is that's causing clipart, for example, to move around the page. I have
reviewed some posts about similar problems and everyone wants to convert the
doc to PDF format before emailing it. I don't have that option. If there are
no other solutions I wonder why Microsoft would create software that lets you
create a newsletter and email it only to find that the end result is less
than desirable. Anyone out there have a solution?

There are various free pdf creation programs that you can use.

The reason for not sending a newsletter as the body of an email message is
because you have no control over how the recipient chooses to read their
email and if they are prudent and use plain text, that is all that they will
see.

Doug, thanks for your post. Do you know what business use, software-wise,
when they send out e-mailings?
