E-Mailing Photos

I use windows xp and outlook 2002. When I'm in "My
Pictures" and I select a picture and then click "E-Mail
this file" it opens up an empty outlook message with my
attachement (the photo I selected). After I type in the
sender's email address and subject, I click on send and
nothing happens. What I usually have to do is exit out
of it (save it) and then go to my inbox and double click
on it and send it from there. Does anyone else have this
problem or a solution?
