e-mailing select members from a disb. list

In Office 2000 you had the ability to open up a
distrubtion list and select members to e-mail from that
list. I'm currently using Office XP and you are not given
that ability. Any ideas how to select specific members
from a distribution list? I don't have them added as
indivdual contacts. Thanks.
