E-mails appear on top of other programs in lower right corner

No matter what other program is running, when e-mails come in, a synopsis of
it appears on the lower right hand corner. This just started for no apparent
reason. I fear it is a worm or trojan.

"Tools|Options|Preferences tab|E-mail Options|Advanced E-mail Options",
uncheck the "Display a New Mail Desktop Alert" checkbox.

it's a feature - but often only display when you aren't using apps at full
