I am wondering if anybody has a solution?
I am moving to Entourage 2008 from outlook 2003. I already exportet the e-mails in the privat folders into Outlook express but how do I export to Entourage? I can't see that I can export to mbox files?

Thanks
Peter

Diane Ross, an MVP in this group has a blog with some hacks on how to do
contacts. I don't remember if she had found a way to do emails.

Bottom line. It's not supported.

One idea I've thought of, but would require access to exchange.
Theoretically you should be able to import a PST file on an exchange server
mailbox, then sync with Entourage, export as an entourage database, setup
your POP or IMAP account, then import the entourage database.

Surely there are some hacks like this to get around this.

I also tried emailing myself vcf cards from my address book in outlook 2003
on a PC, thinking I could save them into my Entourage, but the attachment
comes through as a winmail.dat file. Strangely enough I can mail myself
other attachments, like jpgs and docs, and they come through just fine.

This is just too bad to be real. AM I on candid camera?

There is no easy way to move mail from Outlook to Entourage. It's easiest
if you have access to an Exchange account, in which case you can just upload
your personal folders to your Exchange account temporarily, connect to your
Exchange account from Entourage, and copy the messages to the local ("On My
Computer") folders in Entourage.

Otherwise, here are some other options:

This page has a pretty clear tutorial for moving mail from Outlook to
Entourage.

Outlook2Mac advertises that it can automate the same procedure. However,
some users have noted that contacts, calendar events, and tasks don't always
transfer properly.
