E newsletter is over 4MB!

Using this template: Business e-Mail newsletter (2-col., uneven,
w/hyperlinks), I put in some text and a small jpg. The resulting file is
over 4MB, way too big to e-mail. Has anyone else experienced this and solved
the problem? I use MS Office 2003.

MS Word (2003) to develop the newsletter. Then MS Outlook (2003) to e-mail.

I assume you do not want to send it as an attachment?

Correct - I was hoping to send it as a nicely-formatted e-mail.

We see this a lot with Publisher users. How do you know that your readers
allow HTML? Many don't. (Something to consider.)

It is an internal company e-mail - standard set-up for all (or nearly all)
users.
