e newsletter text gets messed up when sent out.

When created in publisher 2007 from a template the e newsletter looks great.
When it goes out it appears to have all the formatting displayed along with
the text. so every space in the document is indicated by an "A". I've tried
different fonts and all display some formatting when I mail out using outlook
express. Anyone have any ideas? I'm sure this is something simple that I am
doing!
