Easily Export Data to Crate Mailing Labels

After reading several dozen solutions for Entourage's incredible
inability to export names and addresses in a form suitable for mailing
labels or envelopes, particularly of only a portion of one's entire
address book, one of my co-workers created a simple method.

First, create a temporary folder on the Desktop.

Second, in the subset of your Entourage Address book that you wish to
export. Select "All" and drag them to the envelope you've created. This
will build "X" number of indivdual VCFs.

Third, create a new and temporary Identity, using the Switch Identity
subset of the Entourage Menu window. Note that you'll need to quit all
other Office programs. Use an Identity name that you'll recognize. I
used "Christmas" because I was ultimately trying to build a Christmas
card list of about 120 names from my 1,000 name address book.

Open the new identity and move the previously exported VCFs into it,
creating an Address Book that contains nothing but the contacts you
wish to export.

Export those contacts, using the Local Contacts to a tab-delimted list
command. Put these into the temporary folder.

Use Excel or Word to build the labels. I prefer Excel, finding it
easier to work with until the list is organized just the way I want it,
at which point I use Word's Mailing List Manager to create the labels.
