Easy Question: Aligning a Group to Another Group

Got a problem with I'm sure an easy solution. I have a group with an
arrow connector at the top ... picture it like this:
_______
| |
v v
box box

When I group these objects, the group seems to only cover the boxes and
not the lines/arrows. Thus, when I align it with another object or
group, it aligns just the boxes not the boxes+arrow combination.

There must be some setting somewhere where it will include the
lines/arrows as part of the group. I am certainly selecting the arrows
when I group the objects so they are "part" of the group.

Thanks!!

I found that you can view the "alignement box", and the alignment box
for the connector does not cover the entire shape (the right hand line
is larger than the left):

________
| |
v |
v

Is there a way to change the alignment box? This must have something
to do with the "connector" type of shape ... if I did it with lines it
would probably work the way I expect.

Please help me out.

Okay, I found the Shape>Operations>Update Alginment Box menu command.
However, I get the following when I execute: "Shape protection and/or
layer properties prevent execution of this command."

I cleared all the shpae protection properties, and I get the same
result. I checked the layer properties, but all I see is "Connector"
layer. I'm not trying to layer anything ...
