Easy way to update existing 2003 powerpoint file with a new templa

We have a lot of existing PowerPoint 2003 files, built on a corporate
template. The corporate template has just been changed and updated but we
have also moved to Office 2007.

In 2003 it was easy to add a new template to an existing PowerPoint, or to
insert the slides from existing Powerpoint into a new template, with just one
click. We are now all struggling to find an easy way to achieve this in
Powerpoint 2007 - and have not managed to find anything in the online help
and training? The only reliable way found at the moment is to do it painfully
one slide at a time.

Can anyone point us to the simple easy way which we are sure exists in 2007
to replace an existing template?

Put your templates in the folders according to this page:
http://www.echosvoice.com/2007/whatgoeswhere.htm

I'd put them here:

(in Windows Vista)
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes

(in Windows XP) C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes

When they're stored in these folders, they show up in the Design tab |
Themes gallery | in the Custom area. You can either click it in that gallery
or right-click and choose "Apply to Selected Slides" (or "Apply to All
Slides," but that's what happens by default when you click the thumbnail).

To get them to show up in File | New | My Templates, use the paths above
minus the Document Themes folder.

(in Windows Vista) C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\

(in Windows XP) C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates\
