Can I set up a printer as in the Franklin Program to print from WORD into a
note page?

i.e. When the Printer dialog box appears, choose FranklinCovey
TabletPlanner as your printer, set other print options, and then print the
document

Yup! Not the exact set of steps you're taling about, but
the steps and result are the same...

If you're running the SP1 preview you can insert a
document into the current section by selecting "Document
as Picture..." from the Insert menu.

BUT; you can not search text imported as a picture. This
is better than nothing but it is a far cry from an
answer. Why would one not offer a printer driver this
day in age when it's done by so many others? Is there
a "Premium OneNote Delux Edition somewhere chock full of
additional functionality that one would reasonably assume
to be in OneNote? If so let me go ahead and pay up front
for the extras. How many holes in ones foot are
necessary before either the gun is put away or assistance
is administered? You can't just hop around on one foot
all day!

Can you seach the text of a Franklin Covey printed document? A printed
document is nothing more than a picture...

In any case, that feature does not exist in OneNote. If having the text
searchable in OneNote is important to you, you can always use the clipboard
to insert it. I imagine that once you get familiar with the clipboard
shortcuts as well as Alt-Tab, it is a quicker process than printing and
having to select the special print driver.
