Hi

Hopefully you can help. We have an Exchange 2003 Mailserver and some
users are using entourage 2004.

The users have always stated that meeting requests have always been
entered into their calendars as tentitive automatically. I have
checked within calendar preferences and the option is ticked but it
actually states Tentatively add events when invitations are received
(Non-Exchange calendars only)

The non exchange part is whats baffling me because all other
screenshots I've seen of entourage do not state this (I'm an
entourage
novice)

Please can someone confirm whether I can get this working with
entourage 2004 and Exchange mailboxes

Thanks

Hi Craig!

Can you try a little experiment? The problem may not be with Entourage
but this will tell us.

Make sure Entourage is quit and then have one of your Entourage users
log in to his account from a Windows computer or via OWA. Have someone
send a meeting invitation. If the invitation is still accepted then some
server side rule that can only be set in Outlook is accepting the
invitations.

So, what happens if the "Tentatively add events when invitations are
received (non-Exchange calendars only)" is deselected?

I believe that language was added in a recent update. I don't know if it
reflects a change in Entourage's behavior or if the language just was
imprecise to begin with.
