Edit Background in photo gallery

I run a webpage for a hockey team in Green Bay. On the
webpage, I have a few photo gallerys. The previews show
up fine and all but when you click on the individual
photo, the background around the photo is aligned left and
has a white background. I would like to know how to
center the photograph but more importantly, have the
background black so it matches our team color. I've tried
a few different things but nothing seems to work. This is
not the preview page of the photos, but the webpage after
you click on an individual photo in the gallery. Any help
would be greatly apprectiated.

This is because the image opens in a new empty
browser window.
You need to either create a page for each image,
make the background what you want and then make the thumbnail
link to the page.
