Hi,
I'm troubleshooting a problem with FrontPage 2003 and Windows XP
(Service Pack 2). In short, we have a user whose profile has been
locked down pretty tightly; the problem is, the Edit button in IE stays
grayed out, no matter what we do. I know that FrontPage is set up
properly as the HTML editor on the system -- everything works fine when
I log in as a less-restricted user, and she can open FrontPage manually
to edit the site as well.
Here's what I'm wondering:
1) What exactly governs whether the edit button can be used in IE?
2) Is there any way to get this to work without granting extra
permissions?
I have a hunch right now that the problem is that she isn't allowed to
use the Run dialog -- this also makes prevents her from opening HTML
documents saved locally -- but I can't find much in the way of docs on
Microsoft's Web site.
Thanks for any help you can give!
