Edit Document from WSS

Hi,
We have Project server 2003, Windows XP and Office 2000.
For some of our resources we receive an "'Edit Document' requires a Windows
SharePoint Services-compatible application" error message when I try to edit
an Office document in a document library.
Any ideas?

Only your users of Office 2003 will get full functionality, however Office
XP users will fare much better than Office 2000 users. Your WSS
functionality is based on Office Web Components. When you have Office XP or
Office 2003 installed (Keep in mind that Project 2003 is an Office 2003
application) you get the full functioning Office web objects, when you have
Office 2000 installed, you get a run-time version with limited
functionality.
