Edit icon in Internet Explorer 6.0 is in-active

Don

When using IE 6.0 - my edit icon, which usually shows
active (frontpage 2002)- only shows active on my own
website. At my home site, I can choose from Frontpage,
word, notepad etc... as editor when I click the icon. Th
FP logo is displayed as active. When I go to other sites
the icon becomes a generic icon and I cannot select any
editir (options for editors are not even displayed when I
click the icon - it is a dead icon). I re-installed
FP2002 and my IE program is up to date. any ideas???
thx

There is nothing wrong with you current set up, if the icon is active on
some sites, but not on others. I understand that there is a option somewhere
under IIS, to disable the ability to edit a site from a browser with FP, in
these case there is nothing that you can do about it.

I can't speak for others but personally I sometimes like to deconstruct a
nice-looking layout to learn how it was built.
