edit individual business cards in publisher-make each one differe.

I am using the Business card template in publisher to make school ID's for
our students here at City Lights Public Charter School
(www.citylightspcs.org) because they fit perfectly onto the cards that were
purchased. The ID's are a product of Office Depot and they don't have a
template that I can use for their own product...smart, right? Anyway, my
difficulty is being able to make eight different "business cards" so that
each ID tag has a different student's information and photo. Is there a way
that anyone knows of to make each business card different?

What version Publisher? Publisher 2003 has a catalog merge that includes merging
images. Merging is the only way to get each card different without manually
typing in the information. If you don't have Publisher 2003 you still can merge
the student information and manually insert the pictures. What is the i.d.
number of the cards?

Mary,

I have a similar issue. My merge of 160 names to a card went well, but when
I print preview I have one whole sheet of the same name. What I want is for
the names to distribute from card to card, one name to a whole sheet. Does
this make sense?

The print preview for a merge is a bug. It will show the same information on all
the cards.
Print preview displays the same record for the whole page in Publisher 2003 and
in Publisher 2002

No, Mary!

I tried it. The first page printed a full page of the first record, (Name)
and the second page printed a full page of the next record. I canceld the
print job. there are 160 names and I only need one of each on the business
card. (?) I am using 2003. Any more thoughts? Thanks!
