We are porting an app from lotus notes to InfoPath, and today we discovered that lotus notes actually have a read mode and edit mode, this means when a form is in read mode, all the controls will disappear, and the text values of the controls will stay there, which is a very nice feature. (Just like a report)
I don't think this is available in InfoPath, I don't think that even the conditional formatting will help me here, I must redesign the view twice, using the conditional formatting there is no way to make a combo box read only, just disabled, and that looks ugly.
Please have it in the next release, or let me know if it's possible now.
