Edit permissions

Hello,

Is there any simple way of allowing 2 people to edit a project if they are
not in the same RBS group?

I understand that you can set permissions to allow editing in an entire
group, but we have a few instances where we just want one extra person to
edit the PMs plan and they are in a differnt group on the RBS structure.

Many thanks,

You would need to create a new Category that gives permissions to open and
save the specific projects, and then create a new Group that includes the
Category and includes the names of the people who need access to those
specific projects. Hope this helps.

I was just perusing these and found your questions. I know it's been 3 months
but this works too. If the people in question have read/write permissions and
they are set to view projects they are assigned to, then all you need to do
is add them as a team member of the project. You don't have to assign them
any tasks, they just need to be a team member. They will then be able to open
the project in MS Project and make changes.
