Edit Project Details in PWA

Hello Everybody,

I have a problem with _ Edit Project Details_ in Project
Web Access. When you go to Project Page and see the
project lists, there is an option above the project lists
that Says: Edit project details_ when I select a project
and click on _ Edit project details _ I don't get
anything on the page to edit and it says that I need to
go to Project Professional to edit the Project Details.
Does anybody know how to make this option available in
Project Web Access too, so I won't have to go to Project
Pro to edit Project Details? The same goes for Resource
page also.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the reply. I am in the Administrator Group
(actually all the groups) and all the categories are
selected with all the permissions set with the _
Administrator template. Is there any other right or
permission that can be added to an account? Please forgive
me for all the dumb questions, I just got out of college
and I’m totally new to Project.

If you are, as you say, a member of ALL groups, perhaps
you should check to see if the rights settings for one of
these groups explicitly denies a permission you need.

Ania,

There are only 3 permissions which control the "edit"
feature:

2 Group level permissions - Open Project and Save Project
1 Global level permission - Manage Enterprise Features.

Things to check:
First - from the Admin tab go to Manage Users and Groups,
click on Groups, select the Administrators Group and click
Modify Group. Your name should be in the Selected Users
box and My Organization should be in the Selected
Categories box. Make sure that Open Project and Save
Project are checked in the first permissions box and that
Manage Enterprise Features is checked in the Global
Permissions box. Then click Save Changes.

Next - on the left, click Manage Organization. Review this
list of permissions to make sure none of the ones you need
have been denied. If you make any changes here, you will
need to click Save Changes at the top.

You may need to Log Off and Log On again, but this get you
the Edit capability.

Only the custom fields and the project owner field can be
updated through Project Web Access. You have to use
Project Pro to add or edit most fields

Annie,
In the tutorial that have been provided I see Figures
that have more options than I have. Especially in the
Resource Center I don't get any options to edit the
Resource details. I know I can edit those by checking the
Resource pool out in Project but I wanted to be able to
do it in PWA too.
