Edit the Getting Started Tab for Word 2007

Hi, does anyone know how to edit the Getting Started Tab for Word 2007 so I
can add my own content into the tab? I was reading up on it at the link
below, but the steps there are to create a new COM add-in, not to actually
edit the Getting Started one. I really don't know too much about doing
something like this, but in looking at the XML code for the current tab, it
looks easy enought to edit. I just can't find out how to do it or where to
start.

Is there an xml file I can edit to add content to it? Or something similar?

If this post belong in another thread/topic please let me know.
Thanks!

Thanks for the link, otherwise I wouldn't have had any idea what you're
talking about :)

No, there won't be any way you can modify this tab. The tab is provided by a
COM Add-in one can download. Since the COM Add-in isn't yours, you can't (or,
perhaps better formulated for a .NET Add-in, legally really should not) change
it. The XML looks to be hard-coded into the Add-in dll...

In contrast to the old CommandBars model, the Ribbon Tabs belong to the Add-in
(or document) that creates them and can't be used by anyone else. (There is a
way for you to share a tab among your own add-ins, using an XML Namespace. But
that's not available for "outsiders" unless you expressly tell the world about
it.) This is expressly by-design.

The article is a real-world example of a Ribbon customization in an Add-in.
But there is no "sample file" for you to work with-
