edit the paper size

I have a full page document in Publisher that is full of images and text
boxes. I want to make this entire document a half-page. Can I do this
automatically, i.e., when I change the paper size, is there some function to
automatically reduce all stuff on the full page to fit the half page?

Are you going to print the document? Most printers have a function to zoom one
way or the other. You can also convert to a PDF that will resize the document.
