edit wrap point

word 2007: right-click an image > Text Wrapping > Tight (or Through)
right-click the image again > Text Wrapping > Edit Wrap Point.
Now you can change the image perimeter to any shape (octagon, for example)
to exclude white space outside the octagon.

If I understood properly, this is the way to change the rectangular shape of
an image, but after the editing, how do you fix this new image shape -
octagon, so you could wrap text around it?

You are so wright. I thought editing wrap points would cut/crop/change the
image shape, but it only wraps the text aroud the image.

[Where is the office button]

A better question would be, what do I do so that when I insert pictures into
Publisher they automatically have the wrap I want. Is there a place I can
choose the style of wrap I want on all pictures when I insert them.

If this question is about Publisher, then you should ask in the Publisher
NG. In Word 2007 you can set the default wrapping style at Office Button |
Word Options | Advanced: Cut, copy, and paste: Insert/paste pictures as...
In previous versions, this setting is on the Edit tab of Tools | Options.
