Editing a Presentation

Why after I have saved a presentation
do I have trouble after re-opening it?

I am trying to Insert>Picture>FromFile
and it is grayed out. I can however move
around slide order. What gives?

Sounds like your presentation is corrupted in some manner. I'd suggest down
loading the "clone.me" tool (free on the MS site) and running the
presentation through it.

Since you're moving slides around, it sounds as if you're in slide
sorter view. You can't insert images in that view, which may be the
problem.

Go to View/Normal and see if Insert/Picture/From File becomes available.
