editing appointments after upgrade to 2007

J

Joan

I have just upgraded to Outlook 2007. When I imported my calendar from the
previous version it added a phrase to the end of each appointment. For
example, on my old calendar the appointment would read 'staff meeting', new
calendar reads 'staff meeting, Westview Baptist Church'. I can not find a way
to edit this nor can I delete the appointment. I get an error message that
'the item could not be found' when I try to delete it.

the appointment wasn't edited - outlook 2007 shows the location on the
calendar. To remove it you need to remove the location.

Are all appointments giving you the error when you try to delete them or
just some?

I have not been able to find a way to remove the location. On the appointment
set up screen, there is a line that is labeled 'location'; some of my appts.
have a location in that space. 'Westview Baptist Church' shows up after these
appts. as well as the ones where nothing is entered in the location line.

New appts. that I have added since the update include the 'location, WBC'
after each appt. (if I invite attendees, only). I can delete these nes
appts., but all of the appts. that were imported give me the same error
message.

Is 'Westview Baptist Church' the display name on the email account? The new
views show both location and the name of the 'organizer'.

Yes, 'WBC' is the display name. Is there some way to remove that from the
appt.? Also, any ideas on how to delete appts. and send the update to
attendees?
